Lately google did something to their ranking algorithm,   in the hope of offering it’s search users better results, according to their official blog, this change impacts 11.8% organic search results, in another word, google thinks about 12% of it’s search results are really bad and need to manipulated. The update was initiated more than a year ago, maybe that’s why some of my ranks dropped out of first 10 pages, on the other hand almost all keywords promoted by contextual links are not affected, and a few of them even gained a few positions, it’s obvious that link building the old way is the thing of past, probably due to links crammed sites being de-indexed by google.

So what exactly is linking campaign the old way? There are a lot of SEO company out there are doing this, they will get links from any websites which accept adding links, the only updates on those websites are the new links, and most of them are useless, we call these sites link spamming sites. Now google algorithm probably will weed out these sites, any links on them will be affected too.

You probably think there are already too many blogs out there, it’s not true, there will never be too many good blogs, such as this interesting blog, top smartphones 2011 , in the beginning I just post to it casually, lately I added nice stuff left and right, it’s no way this site will rank, right?, actually, no, in reality this site is doing pretty well for more than a few search terms. As far as SEO concerned, creating quality content and article marketing is what we have to do to get great result. Now imagine you have your own blog network, something like truck chains, you will have the power to push any sites up in search engines.

Remember content is king, you just need to create content, publish and share with people, promote your business with the content, this strategy will prevail in short or long term. Whatever you do, you will need persistence and patience, you shouldn’t expect things to improve overnight, i.e., selling online or improve your search rankings, keep doing what we have to do till the end of world.
